NBUS #5

Every now and again Darnell over at djkardkreations holds a challenge called


For those of you who don't know NBUS means Never Before Used Stuff and we crafters always have some of that lying around.
My card today features a pattern which I have never stitched before and this is the first time that I am using this washi tape (bought it in Australia in January!)

I seem to be drawn to tree patterns this year for Christmas, last year it was wreaths!

Write

CASology's challenge is 



I actually made the card below first but it was too pink and too busy for my liking. So I toned down the shade of pink, added some silver and left out a portion of the scrolls. I am much happier with this second attempt.
To complete I added some dots of liquid pearls at random, a flat backed pearl in each corner and layered it on some silver paper.

Fall colours

Simon says Stamp is challenging us to do something about Fall or using Fall colours. As we are actually going into Spring here in the Southern Hemisphere and not Fall I decided to use the Fall colours on something that speaks of Spring and here it is


When I initially stitched it I wasn't crazy about the colours I had used but once layered it definitely came together better than expected.

Put a bow on it

Another card for my Christmas stash


I will be entering it into two challenges over at Splitcoast Stampers
The first is Christmas Cards Challenge 2015 for June where the theme is pearls. I have used gold liquid pearls in the centre of my flowers and the second is their Free 4 all challenge where the theme is "Add something gold". I added a gold bow.

Background or foreground?

The new sketch at Sweet Sunday Sketch is


 I am at liberty to decide whether the background of the foreground is the focal point. I have chosen the latter.
