I'm not very goof at this but I did make the background for this card

 

 

The rest of the card was pretty simple, some washi tape and a couple of scrapbooking embellishments

Always playing with paper have this inspiration

 

I concentrated on the predominant colours in the photo, red and black and that fact that it is a masculine challenge and made this card for my nephew's birthday.

Addicted to CAS have one word as their cue this time and it's....... 

 

 

It fitted perfectly with the birthday card which I made for one of my nephews. He loves cricket and plays the position of wicket keeper so I decided to make him a cricket ball,

 

 

 

I used a pre cut card base and covered it with red paper. The sentiments were computer generated and I did some faux stitching in black around them. I used the same fine liner to rule a "join" down the centre of the ball.  To depict the stitching on the ball I used a white gel pen.

Sport tags

I have a couple of tags for you today. They are all around the theme of sport.

I will be entering the first one in the sketch challenge at Sweet Sunday Sketch which is 

These rugby tags where made with buttons, I cut the shanks off.

The next two sets where made with reflective stickers of soccer balls.

I used scraps of corrugated cardboard for these.

The sentiments are all computer generated and I did some faux stitching on all of them with a fine liner.

Honour thy Father

Sadly my Dad is no longer with us but if he was this would be the card I made for him.

The challenge at Splitcoast Stampers Free 4 All has asked us to make a Father's Day card which shows an interest of our father's. Mine loved sport, mainly rugby, badminton and tennis. He never played rugby past school going age but did very well in both the other sports well into his later life.

I suppose if I was honest a card with a tennis racquet would have been better for him but as I don't have a pattern for that, this is my choice. I loved to watch our local team the "Sharks" play, cheering them on along with my Dad. Good memories.

The pattern also has a soccer version so I stitched that one too. Love how the ball has turned out.

For a Rugby lover

This is the card I made for my nephew who is a rugby player. 

The base card was kraft and the sentiment was computer generated.

I took my inspiration from this card but swopped the American football for a rugby ball.
