For me very little says Sunshine better than a great big Sunflower. They always look so happy and well... sunny and summer!
I added a bit of texture to the strips of colour that I used behind my Flowers.
I will also be entering it at Addicted to CAS where the cue is

Oh, I have to agree with you...sunflowers definitely remind me of bright, sunny, summer days! Your stitching is beautiful, I especially love the leaves! Thanks for joining us at CASology this week!
ReplyDeleteSome beautiful sunflowers so perfect for all the challenges, Glenda!!! Love the strips of bright colour!!! Really beautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteHave a great Sunday!!!
I couldn't agree more with your feelings on sunflowers and I love how you incorporated them into your card! How clever to stitch them out! It reminded me of some of the beautiful handwork my mom used to do on pillowcases and table runners. I think this is more of a treasured heirloom than a card! I especially like how the leaves turned out. Thank you so much for sharing such a creative piece with us for this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous stitching as always, Glenda, and I love the touch of embossing in the background! Thanks for playing along with CASology this week!
