These are the crackers I made this year.

My tables was pink and red hence the colour scheme

I added guest size soaps as the gifts inside.

Christmas Crackers

Moving along with the times have this cue
'Anything but a card'
So I thought I'd share my Christmas crackers with you.

I usually make a little something to put inside, you can see previous ones here 2017 and 2016 but this year my inners didn't really work so I just used some store bought chocolates.
The coloured paper is actually a wrapper from a discontinue line of soaps so it had printing on it. To cover that I up added the oval with the letter on it. I distressed the edges of the oval.

Supplies:
Cuttlebug
Die: Spellbinders Nestabilities small oval
        Letters: Lifestyle Crafts Manhattan
Ribbon in green and gold
Ink: Cats eye in lime

2018 Christmas Crackers

'Party'

I want to share the crackers which I made this year.
As you know we moved house at the end of November and even though by the time Christmas arrived I did have time to be creative and make something special I'm afraid that my mind wasn't feeling very 'Chrismassy'. It's still very much occupied with furniture placements and how I can adapt existing curtains to fit new windows etc!

Anyway here are my crackers

I was very lucky to find this 'perfect for my table décor' gift wrap so everything matched nicely.

Inside I made this little gift. It's a hot chocolate spoon.

I used a liqueur glass as a mould, which didn't work very well as even though I lubricated it before pouring in the melted chocolate, once set the choc wouldn't come out. I had to place each glass in some boiling water for a couple of seconds to get it out, hence the slightly melted outside. Next time I will definitely use a silicone mould. I added a star aniseed for decoration.

I wrote the following on the back of the tag:
Place the spoon in a mug of recently boiled milk.
Stir
Enjoy

Home made Christmas Crackers.

I decide to make my own crackers this year for Christmas and when I saw the challenge over at Cuttlebug mania I knew that they would be perfect. The challenge is

'A Christmas project in any colour just not red and green'

So here they are

I made individual Mocha Coffee test tubes to put into each one as the little gift

and up close.

I really battled to get test tubes and ended up getting pill bottles instead. Unfortunately they where not big enough to put the pieces of chocolate into so I had to make a little plastic bag for that. I attached the bag to the bottle with crochet cotton.

The recipe is:
1st layer: 7ml hot chocolate
2nd Layer: 5ml coffee
3rd layer: 7ml non dairy creamer. I used Cremora
Fill rest of test tube with pieces or drops of Dark chocolate.

On the back of the label I wrote:
Tip the contents into a mug. Add boiled water and stir. Enjoy.

I will also be entering this over at Simon says stamp blog work it Wednesday November where the challenge is to use dies.
