Midsummer Blues

Simon says stamp blog Wednesday challenge is

'Midsummer blues'

This is the card I made to say Thank you to the parents of the boys in my class. During our Covid Lockdown my school did online teaching but as my students are still little, only 9 years of age, I was very aware that parents where helping out a lot with the work too. Now that my class is back (all be it only half at a time) I wnted to acknowledge the effort made by parents and so sent each one a little note.

I am learning to Draw with my Silhouette Machine and this was made with that.

I made the envelope using pages from an old atlas.

Supplies:

Card stock: 160gsm in white

Gel pen in blue

Cameo Silhouette machine

'P' for pine tree

P for Pine trees
Q for quiet
R for robins

Mine is a Pine tree decoration

To make the stripes I adhered double sided tape to the card topper. Then pressed the foil on, taking special care at the edges as this is where it tends not to stick. Then I gently pulled the large foil strip off leaving the stripes behind. I find that this is the neatest way of doing it. Gets the best coverage.

I will also be entering this at Just add ink where it is
