A day in the sun.

Today is a day that I have been dreading. We are taking all of the Grade 3 boys on an outing to explore rock pools at the beach. We have been studying the sea this term and this will be the culmination of all this work. You might be thinking that this doesn't sound too scary, so why am I dreading it? Well, it's actually very simple. We have been having temperatures in the mid thirties (centigrade) and the days have been very sunny. An absolute nightmare for a redhead like myself!!! All I can think of is how hot and sweaty it's going to be and how sunburnt I'm going to get! I will be layering on the suntan lotion and I always wear a big hat when I'm in the sun but the beach in summer is usually something that I steer very clear off.  Oh well I'll just have to grin and bear it.

Cas colours and sketches have this gorgeous colour combination this week

I really enjoyed making this card and am very happy with how it turned out.

Blue and green peacock

Split coast stampers Featured Stamper 473 is Rokale. I chose to CASe this card of hers. I reproduced her peacock.

I have done this pattern before in a very similar layout here  but this time decided to stitch it in Rayon thread as it has a lovely shimmer which I thought was perfect for a peacock's feathers. The result, in my opinion, is a little thick so I won't be doing that again.
I added some glitter to complete.

Supplies:
Pattern: Pintrest
Thread: Rayon in sea green and royal blue
             Gold: DMC
Card stock: 160gsm in white
Paper: Free download from Crafty ferret
