It's a dog's Life

Simon says Monday challenge is

 

"It's a dog's life"

 

Unfortunately the gold thread doesn't stand out as boldly as I had hoped for against the black. I cut a circle and adhered it to the back paper before pricking out the pattern and stitching it.

Hooked!

Tracie Clary is the featured stamper over at Split coast tampers FS558 and I have chosen this

tree as my inspiration.
This was the very first Christmas pattern that I ever stitched. Very simple but it was obviously enough to get me hooked on embroidery cards!

A sort of Halloween

Sugarpea designs have a kind of Halloween challenge but as we don't really do Halloween in South Africa I concentrated on the colours instead
